The potential of using AI in teaching is currently far from being fully utilised. Following on from this, the idea of the project \"University teaching: Adaptive, self-directed, AI-supported\" (HASKI for short) was developed. The overall concept of HASKI consists of three components: The learning space, the Learning Management System (LMS) and the HASKI system, a software that uses AI methods to support learners in achieving their learning goals in an adaptive and self-directed manner.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n

Adaptive learning and assessment means that learners are presented with tasks that correspond to their level of learning and competence. The adaptive learner model adapts to the learner and not the other way round. This is a prerequisite for the success of adaptive teaching and learning arrangements.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n

Individualised Learning Paths<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The overall HASKI concept is based on a blended learning approach that combines computer-based and traditional teaching. Students receive learning materials via an LMS in which learning paths are customised according to the learner, tutorial and domain model (documents, videos, podcasts, learning tasks, etc.). Learners can determine for themselves what their learning process looks like, depending on which learning path they choose. All learner actions, as well as the solutions to the learning tasks and quizzes, are transmitted to the HASKI system - an AI-supported software. The HASKI system uses this information to determine feedback, which is passed on directly to the learners via the LMS. The AI system also customises the learning paths for the learners based on this data. Furthermore, the HASKI system creates a report for the teachers on the learning activities of the learners. Teachers can use these reports to design the next learning spaces.<\/h6>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
