On Wednesday, April 22, the Research Center for Artificial Intelligence will host the second AI day at OTH Regensburg, bringing together professionals and students in the field of AI to discuss latest advances and new ideas.
Call for
Abstracts
We kindly invite professionals, researchers and students to contribute abstracts for:
- Talks [12 min + 3 min Q&A]
- Poster presentations
Topics
The following topics serve as examples; submissions on any relevant subject are welcome. Repeated presentations from international conferences are also very welcome.
- Industrial applications of AI: custom AI solutions and novel ideas
- High performance & quantum computing, edge AI, technoloy integration
- AI to improve engineering practices
- AI for sustainability goals (including health, education, etc.)
Submission guidelines
Please submit a document with the following information:
- Type of contribution (talk or poster)
- Title of your work
- Names of all co-authors including their organisations
- Abstract (150-250 words)
- For talks, please provide a short author CV (max. 3 bullet points)
- Submissions may be in English or German
- Please note if your presentation or poster may be published after the event (abstracts will always be published)
Important dates:
- Abstract submission deadline: March 9, 2026
- Author notification: March 16, 2026
Call for
Demonstrators
A special highlight of the AI Day 2026 will be a demonstrator competition exclusively designed for students.
All students are invited to submit proposals for innovative demonstrator ideas. Five demonstrators will be selected by the committee and receive a reward of 500 € to bring them to life.
The final demonstrators have to be presented at the AI Day. The best demonstrator will receive an additional reward of 1000 €.
Submission guidelines
Please submit a one-page-proposal (English or German) answering the following questions:
- What does the demonstrator show?
Describe its core idea and concept. - How does it work?
Briefly describe AI technologies, hardware and software components and how you will implement them (with funding). - What is its impact?
Highlight what makes your demonstrator special and unique. - How does the audience interact with it?
Describe hands-on or interactive elements.
Important dates:
- Proposal submission: March 9, 2026
- Author notification: March 16, 2026
- Finalisation of accepted demonstrators: April 15, 2026
- Presentation of accepted demonstrators: April 22, 2026
