Women in Data Science 2025

May 22nd, 2025

The goal of the Women in Data Science (WiDS) conference is to showcase the exciting work that is conducted by women in the field of data science. Accomplished specialists from academia and industry presented relevant topics.

The event once again was a great opportunity to exchange ideas and inspire each other.

Alongside five detailed talks, a poster session with over 16 poster presentations provided lots of exciting networking opportunities.

Six of these presentations were given by researchers from OTH Regensburg: The presenters showcased latest work from projects such as BAICert (AI for certification processes and reduction of bureaucracy in administration) and Data Tales (generative and interactive data storytelling for audits). Other presentations addressed travel patterns, statistic data analyses, the use of AI in NGOs and AI for medical history.

Congratulations to all presenters on their achievements!
